Community Standards

Vemo is built to provide a welcoming, respectful, and enjoyable environment where users can connect, interact, and engage in social interaction or entertainment safely. To maintain this environment, all users must follow these Community Guidelines in addition to our Terms of Use.

PLATFORM ROLE - Vemo is a technology platform that enables digital social interaction between users. Vemo does not provide matchmaking guarantees, relationship brokerage services, escort services, or offline companionship services.

We expect every interaction on Vemo to be conducted with the same respect and responsibility as real-world interactions. Our community includes diverse users, and everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and comfortable while using the App.

Please refrain from engaging in unlawful, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour. Online interactions can involve risks, especially when communicating with unfamiliar individuals. Users are responsible for protecting their own safety and privacy.

Vemo follows a strict No-Nudity Policy. Any identifiable nudity or sexually explicit behaviour during interactions may result in immediate removal of content or termination of access without refund or compensation.

Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in actions such as content removal, temporary suspension, permanent account termination, forfeiture of balances, and where required, reporting to relevant authorities.

CONSENT AND COERCIVE BEHAVIOUR

All interactions on Vemo must be consensual. Users must not pressure, manipulate, threaten, deceive, or coerce others into engaging in conversations, sharing personal information, continuing interactions, or providing gifts, payments, or benefits.

Any form of emotional manipulation, intimidation, or exploitative behaviour is prohibited.

1. Hate, Harassment, and Discrimination

Users must not share content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or abuse based on race, caste, gender, nationality, disability, or any other personal characteristic. Personal attacks, insults, degrading remarks, or content intended to intimidate or mentally distress others are strictly prohibited.

2. Religious Sensitivity

Respect all religions, beliefs, and cultural practices. Content that mocks, insults, misrepresents, or disrespects religious figures, symbols, customs, or communities is not allowed. Any content likely to cause communal disharmony is prohibited.

3. Terrorism, Extremism, and Criminal Promotion

Content that supports, glorifies, or promotes terrorist activities, extremist ideologies, criminal gangs, or organised crime is strictly forbidden. This includes praise, propaganda, or references intended to encourage violent or criminal acts.

4. Self-Harm and Suicide

User well-being is a priority at Vemo. While sharing personal recovery journeys or seeking support is allowed, content that promotes or encourages self-harm or suicide is not permitted.

5. Violence and Physical Harm

Do not post or promote content that depicts, glorifies, or threatens violence against humans or animals. Graphic imagery, depictions of injury, abuse, mutilation, or violent medical procedures are not permitted.

6. Sexual, Obscene, or Exploitative Content

Vemo maintains zero tolerance for pornographic, sexually explicit, obscene, or exploitative content. This includes:

Non-consensual sexual content
Sexual content involving minors
Revenge porn
Bestiality or incest
Violent sexual acts

Sexually suggestive remarks directed at individuals, sharing intimate content without consent, or invasion of bodily privacy is strictly prohibited.

7. Bullying and Harassment

Bullying, stalking, harassment, abusive language, threats, or repeated unwanted contact are not allowed. This includes derogatory comments about someone’s appearance, background, or personal attributes.

8. Privacy Violations

Respect personal boundaries and privacy. Do not share personal information, images, videos, or private details of others without explicit consent. Any attempt to expose or misuse someone’s private information is prohibited.

9. Illegal or Prohibited Activities

Do not use Vemo to engage in or promote illegal activities. This includes but is not limited to:

Sale or distribution of illegal drugs or substances
Gambling, betting, or lottery schemes
Prostitution or human trafficking
Money laundering or financial fraud
Sale of restricted or unlawful goods
Offering or requesting escort services, paid companionship of any kind.

10. Impersonation and Identity Misuse

Do not impersonate another individual, public figure, brand, or organisation in a misleading or deceptive manner. Identity theft or misrepresentation is a serious violation.

11. False Information and Misinformation

Users must not knowingly share false, misleading, or manipulated information, images, or videos. Satire or parody content must be clearly identified as such.

12. Spam, Scams, and Phishing

Avoid spamming, bulk messaging, or repetitive posting intended to disrupt conversations. Scams, fraudulent schemes, phishing attempts, abuse of payment systems, refund abuse, fraudulent chargebacks, or unsolicited promotions are not permitted.

13. FINANCIAL EXPLOITATION AND DECEPTIVE SOLICITATION

Users must not exploit emotional vulnerability, trust, or personal relationships to solicit money, gifts, credits, or benefits from others through deception, pressure, or false representation.

Requests for money, gifts, or support based on fabricated emergencies, promises, or emotional dependency are prohibited.

Any payments on the platform will only be for optional digital platform features provided by Vemo and not for payments between users.

14. Intellectual Property Rights

Only post content that you own or have the legal right to share. Uploading copyrighted material such as movies, music, books, logos, or branded content without permission is prohibited and may be removed upon complaint.

15. Malware and Harmful Code

Do not upload or share files, links, or programs containing viruses, malware, or any code designed to harm users, devices, or the platform.

16. Child Safety and Protection

Vemo is strictly for users 18 years and above. Any form of child exploitation, abuse, or sexual content involving minors is strictly prohibited, including:

Sexual imagery involving children
Links to child sexual abuse material
Grooming or solicitation of minors
Facilitating or promoting child exploitation

Any misrepresentation of age or attempts to bypass age restrictions will result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of access.

17. REPEAT OR PATTERNED VIOLATIONS

Repeated, patterned, or coordinated behaviour that violates the spirit of these Community Standards may result in enforcement action, even if individual incidents appear minor in isolation.

18. CIRCUMVENTION OF PLATFORM SAFEGUARDS

Users must not attempt to bypass Vemo’s moderation, reporting, safety systems, or payment mechanisms, including by encouraging others to move interactions off the platform for prohibited purposes.

19. ENFORCEMENT DISCRETION

Vemo reserves the right to take appropriate action based on the severity, frequency, and context of violations, including immediate termination without prior warning where user safety or legal compliance is at risk.

ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS - Depending on severity, Vemo may issue warnings, restrict features, suspend accounts, permanently terminate access, or report violations to relevant authorities.
